Job Description:

Shire of Wyndham and East Kimberley are seeking a Project Support Officer for a temporary contract to start as soon as possible.  See below information regarding the role.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Support Officer is primarily responsible for:

  • Providing administration support in relation to the Gibb River-Kalumburu Road and Port Warrender Road Disaster Recovery Funded storm damage and drainage repair works for AGRN 951 EPAR project;
  • Supporting the Contract Project Manager in office and on site with relevant record keeping and administrative documents. These records forms evidence for Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) claim submissions for the Shire funds reimbursements;
  • Facilitating the delivery of accurate and timely meeting agendas and minutes including the coordination and management of the reporting actions from the relevant meetings;
  • Ensuring compliance with the State Records Act 2000 by making sure corporate documents are recorded in the Shire’s Record Management System;
  • Fulfilling duty of care requirements at all times as legislated by taking reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions; and
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Project Manager and/or line management within known skills, knowledge and capabilities.

 

 Essential Criteria

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Well-developed administration skills and experience;
  • Sound time management skills including the ability to plan and organise own work, prioritise tasks, achieve set and agreed performance and service standards, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to prepare detailed reports and correspondence;
  • Proven ability to contribute and work in a diverse and challenging team environment; and
  • Proven experience in using personal computers and range of software applicable to general administrative functions including Microsoft Office software.
