Job Description:
Starting late July/early August, we require Harvest Hands for full time work on an aquaculture (fish) farm near Humpty Doo, NT (50 minutes south of Darwin).
This role will entail a variety of hands-on labouring work in the field as well as the packing shed. Field duties include harvesting fish by pulling in nets, mending nets, feeding, cleaning tanks and tube, moving fish, etc.
Packing shed duties include processing and packing fish, loading / unloading and cleaning.
The job requires you to get into the fish ponds, so applicants must be able to swim.
Own transportation required to get to work site each day and local accommodation in Humpty Doo. This is a great ongoing job for someone looking for long-term, reliable work in the Darwin area.
Workers are required to work 4-5 days a week, 10 hours per day. Pay rate is an hourly rate of $20.63 (Level 2) in line with the Aquaculture Award 2020.
