Starting ASAP, a cattle station in Western Australia between Carnarvon and Coral Bay requires an experienced home cook for 6 weeks of cooking and cleaning during cattle mustering.
Daily duties will consist of cooking for up to 8 staff, cleaning the homestead, gardening, watering lawns and other general upkeep.
Work will average 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week. Most of the time the mustering crew will be out working, so the cook is responsible for setting their daily schedule to ensure all tasks are completed.
Applicants must be good cooks and be able to prepare hearty, meat-based meals such as roasts, lasagna, stews, casseroles, etc. There will be plenty of beef to cook with since it's a cattle station.
Other requirements include a drivers license and good English.
Pay rate is $150+/day (negotiatble based on experience) and accommodation and meals are provided for free.
This job will count for visa extension for people on a 417 or 462 visa.
