A cattle station near Port Hedland in Western Australia requires a Cook for the mustering season for an immediate start.
Main responsibilities of this person revolve
- Cooking: station cook, all meals and including morning tea, lunch and dinner according to instructions
- Ordering food and keeping to a monthly budget
- All other general station duties as required including but not limited to store runs to town helping where needed
Applicants for this role need to be versatile, flexible and energetic. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience cooking for large groups or previous station cooking experience, but we are open to applicants with a love for cooking who are able to prepare good homestyle meals and are good cleaners.
Applicants must have drivers license.
Wage is $1100/week with accommodation and meals provided for free. You'll work 55 hours average per week.
The station is situated on the coast, so there is plenty of opportunity for fishing, beach walks, etc. on days off.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cook who wants to live the remote lifestyle on an excellent family-run cattle station. The station offers the best of both worlds: remote living but also the chance to be right on the coast and only 70kms away from the nearest town.
