Cattle Stationhand for Mustering

A family-owned cattle station in the Pilbara area of WA near Tom Price requires an experienced cattle stationhand for 3 months.
Prior to mustering, which starts at the end of July, duties will include general station maintenance such as putting in solar pumps/tanks/troughs, shed building and fencing.
Once mustering starts, station staff will be mustering cattle on off-road motorbikes and taking on general cattle handling tasks. There may be some camping out during mustering.
The rest of the time work will consist of cattle work near the homestead.
Applicants must have the following skills and experience
- Previous agricultural experience, specifically with cattle / on a station
- Strong experience riding off-road motorbikes (dirt bikes)
- Good general labouring and basic mechanical skills
- A drivers license and own vehicle highly preferred
- Fluent English
Pay rate is $160/day Monday-Saturday and $320/day Sundays and Public Holidays. Accommodation is provided for free in a self-contained air-conditioned donga. Food/meals are provided for free.
These jobs will count for visa extension for people on a 417 and 462 visa.
