We are seeking a creative and dynamic chef for the remainder of the 2020 season to work in a World Heritage Listed National Park.
This is a wide and varied role in a very remote location, requiring you to be hands-on in every aspect of the kitchen.
This will include food preparation, service and delivery, cleaning, stock delivery and rotation as well as menu costing and ordering; as this is a remote location, all stock is flown in and needs to be ordered a week in advance.
You will be providing daily packed lunches for walking tours, as well as staff meals. Buffet-style lunches for in-house tour groups will be required several times a week. Covers can be up to 60 people at any one time. You will need to be highly organised and well presented, with a passion for cooking and a creative flair.
You must be willing to be the face of the kitchen and interact with guests, with excellent customer service skills. You must be comfortable with a high level of responsibility.
This role is a seasonal live in position, working a 21-days on 6-days off roster.
Meals and accommodation are provided on site.
The successful applicant will need to display a demonstrated ability to prepare beautifully presented and creative food in a range of settings. In addition, you will be reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
You must be available to commit until late September.
This is a unique and amazing part of the Kimberley and the dry season is a great time of year to be able to explore all that the area has to offer.
This position will count towards the second year visa for 462 visa holders.
