Starting ASAP, an experienced Station Hand is required for a large cattle station in remote Northern Western Australia, near Newman. The job will last until end of September (minimum).
Mustering is done with 4WD Landcruisers, so applicants must have a drivers license and be able to drive a 4WD off-road. This is a very well-run station and applicants for this role must have livetock experience or a trade background (Boilermaker, Mechanic, Carpenter etc.). People with previous station experience are preferred, but we are willing to consider those who have good experience with cattle who have not worked on a station before.
Once mustering is finished, staff will be working on yard building, fencing, maintenance work and general livestock work.
Single accommodation is provided with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities amongst 8 others for $50 per week, as well as meals included. The accommodation is single mens quarters.
Starting wage is $1000/week (before tax). There is potential for someone with multiple seasons of mustering experience to earn more. Work is 5 1/2 days each week and over time rates will be paid if you do more.
Fantastic station to work on with a really great crew!
