We have number of positions available for the upcoming Mango harvest season in the Northern Territory commencing mid September through to mid December. The positions are available in Berry Springs for around 6-8 weeks.
Roles will include picking and packing mangoes, pruning mango trees, fertilising and other farm hand tasks. Mango picking involves picking fruit from the trees by hand or using picking poles and then placing mangoes onto a picking machine where they are treated before being stored in bins.
The packing shed roles are grading, packing and stacking. This work involves being on your feet all day removing unsuitable fruit from the packing line (grading) packing mangoes into trays (packing) or stacking trays onto pallets for storage and shipment (stacking). People with previous packing and grading experience are highly valued and may be placed in supervisory roles.
After the picking and packing in Berry Springs, there is opportunity for additional mango picking,packing and pruning in Katherine, Mataranka or Queensland. For workers re-deployed to Katherine or Mataranka there will be an additional 8-10 weeks of work. For workers redeployed to Queensland it will be an additional 8-12 weeks of work.
Accommodation is provided on the farm.
