Starting between May 20th - 26th, a cattle station in the Upper Gascoyne region of WA (5 hours NE of Carnarvon) is looking for a mature couple with their own caravan to help out during the mustering season. These positions should last 8-10 weeks, depending on the season.
Duties for both people will include handling and moving cattle, feeding out hay using a bobcat, maintaining electric fences, checking watering points and general station maintenance jobs that come up.
Applicants must be experienced in handling stock and be capable of working long hours outdoors. At least one person should have good mechanical skills and all applicants must have a drivers license.
Wages are based on a daily rate between $120 - $150 per person depending on experience. Must be flexible with days off and hours of work. The couple will have full access to power and other amenities. Food is also included for free.
These roles are ideal for a couple who enjoy the outdoors as there is plenty of opportunity to explore the property (bushwalking, birdwatching etc.) and experience mustering and all other aspects of station life.
