Melon Field Hands

We require 8 field hands for a melon and pumpkin farm in Kununurra, Northern WA (800kms south of Darwin) for a duration of six months, starting the end of April. Candidates must commit for the full six months duration.
General duties will include planting melons and pumpkins, chipping and weeding around melon and pumpkin plants, picking and packing melons and pumpkins, making boxes the melons and pumpkins are packed in to.The work is physical and very repetitive and we will give preference to applicants who have undertaken similar work previously.
This is the hottest time of the year in the Kimberley and you must be able to handle extreme temperatures and conditions - it is regularly over 40 degrees during the day and very humid.
Previous experience working in hot and humid conditions would be advantageous to cope with the heat. Generally shifts will be between 8-10 hours per day and so a good level of physical is required.
