2 x Quality Assurance Staff for Mango Farm - 8 weeks
2 position(s) | 15 Oct 2018 - 6-8 weeks
|Job #||28100||Location||NT - Regional|
|Hours per week||50+ ($23.66)|
Starting mid-October, a 350 hectare mango and citrus farm about 4 hours (400kms) south of Darwin is looking for two Quality Assurance staff for the upcoming harvest.
These jobs will count for visa extension and applicants must have their own transport due to the location of the farm (25kms from the closest town).
The positions will involve overseeing picking workers to ensure the correct fruit is being picked and the picking processes are being followed. You will have a checklist to complete and will be inspecting all bins of fruit before they leave the farm to go to the warehouse. You will need to have a good eye for detail and be able to keep accurate records for the management team. Full training will be provided as part of the farm induction.
This will be a fast paced role, so applicants need to have strong communication and speak fluent English. You should have a good level of physical fitness as you will be working outdoors in hot and humid conditions and on your feet all day. Previous experience in a supervisory role strongly preferred.
Pay rate is $23.66/hour and hours will generally be long, 10-12 hours, 6 days a week. Accommodation can be provided (donga style on the farm). There are also plenty of options nearby in Katherine town centre.
The mango harvest season is short but very sweet, giving you the opportunity to work hard, learn new skills and earn great money. If you are hard working, reliable, love working with a team and can commit to the season, submit your application today.
