A busy roadhouse / motel near the border of Western Australia and South Australia requires an experienced cook / chef for ongoing work.
This position will mostly be afternoon/evening shifts with typical hours from 1pm to 9pm.
Responsibilities include food prep, cooking, plating and great presentation. Also includes kitchen maintenance, cleaning and menu planning. Menus will range from the traditional Aussie classics, and all other styles of cooking such as Asian, cafe style, bar food - really anything that looks and tastes great within a budget.
Applicants must have strong commercial cooking skills.
Pay rate will be based on the relevant experience level under the Hospitality Award.
Cooks - Hospitality Award Level 3
Chefs - Hospitality Award Level 4
Hours will be an average of 40 per week. Accommodation and meals are provided on site for $70/week.
The motel is based in a small country town right on the coast. There is a good local community with several long-term staff working at the roadhouse.
** There is the potential for a cook travelling with a partner as the partner could take on a hospitality or cooking role in the roadhouse as well**
