Permanent Livestock Farmhand - Broomehill, WA

A mixed cropping farm about 3 hours southeast of Perth (Broomehill area) is looking for a Permanent Farmhand to run one of WA's largest merino studs, both Horn & Poll merino. The farm is running approx. 10,000 sheep.
The main focus for this person will be day to day work of the sheep enterprise and overall farming operation which has a commercial stock pallet plant.
Tasks will involve feeding and checking stock, animal health, lamb marking, use of electronic equipment, organising shearing, preparing rams for ram sales, feed lotting opportunities and fence and yard maintenance.
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous livestock experience and a passion for working with sheep
- An understanding of Merinoselect would be an advantage
- Ability to work to a tight seasonal schedule and longer hours when required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A driver's license
Usual work hours are 45 per week. Starting salary will range between $60K - $75K, depending on experience. This includes a newly renovated comfortable 4 bedroom house with access to a school bus at the front of the property. A ute will be provided for work use only.
