A cattle station East of Carnarvon, Western Australia requires a Leading Hand to join their team starting as soon as possible.
This person will be responsible for all station duties as well as coordinating and leading a small crew. Tasks include mustering, water runs, fencing, yard building, water point upgrade and installation, fabricating in the workshop, driving a range of vehicles and running the property when the station owners are away.
Suitable applicants must demonstrate 2-3 years station experience (watering points, installing tanks, fencing etc.) and strong stock handling skills.
This person must be able to work well with other staff and be competent riding dirt bikes.
Hours are generally 45 per week over 5.5 days. Must be flexible with work hours during mustering.
Weekly rate is between $900-1200 depending on level of experience. Accommodation and food is provided on the station free of charge. There are options to stay in a separate house or in the staff quarters. The station may be able to accommodation a couple traveling together.
