Hi All,
With the school holidays all but over we are seeing a return to normality with work.
There are good jobs rolling in in all areas, hospitality, harvest, machinery operation, labouring , admin and sales.
The thing is...there is a lot of people looking for work and the jobs are being filled quickly.
Here's what you need to do to land the next great job:
1. Check our site every day and, unless you are applying for harvest work or general labouring, update your resume and UPLOAD IT to the profile you have on www.thejobshop.com.au
2. When you have applied for a job you are suited to, call us or come and see us to follow up your application.
3. Persist... don't give up! The people who get great jobs just keep trying, so if you have been on a standby list for a while don't despair. Just let us know you are still around and something will turn up.
4. You have a much better chance of getting farm or harvest work if you have your own car. Not only does it give you access to more jjobs if you get some camping equipment, you can save aheap on accommodation. Just make sure you buy it right ie. Get a mechanic to check it out first, look after it and you will be able to sell it and get back most if not all of your money.
Other work news
Kununurra ( a key harvest area located on the WA NT border) will not be looking for people until the end of February... at the earliest.
If you have good machinery/farming experience, we usually have good jobs for people driving large tractors sowing the winter crop... these jobs usually start in March. Some farmers are hiring now and having workers build fences, service machinery and work livestock . Pre register on www.thejobshop.com.au and call us on 08 9228 1457 and we can put you on a list.
Until next time, enjoy your travels
